Symposium: Political Discourse, Civility, and Harm

Guest scholars from across the country will investigate the role of incivility in political discourse and whether there is a causal relationship between incivility and various harms. The participants will engage in a panel discussion on their scholarship in the area. Confirmed participants include a number of leading scholars from across the country: Richard Brooks (Yale Law School), Marc Miller (Arizona Law), Margaret Radin (Michigan Law School), Bernard Harcourt (Chicago Law School), Kenji Yoshino (NYU Law), and Barak Orbach (Arizona Law).

The symposium is funded in part by the law firm of Polsinelli Shughart and the National Institute for Civil Discourse at the University of Arizona.
